Soy protein enzymatic hydrolysis and polysaccharides interactions: differential performance on kinetic adsorption at air-water interface
The objective of the work was to study the impact of soy protein hydrolysis on kinetic adsorption to the air-water interface and the effect
of polysaccharides addition. Was used soy protein (SP) and theirs hydrolysates of 2% (H1) and 5.4% (H2) degree of hydrolysis. The
polysaccharides (PS) used were a surface active one called E4M and a non-surface active one, lamda carrageenan (C). The dynamic
surface pressure of interfacial films was evaluated with a drop tensiometer. In this contribution, we have determined the kinetic
parameters of adsorption to the air-water interface which determined the penetration (Kp) and rearrangement (Kr) rates of SP, H1, H2
and PS, as well as their mixed systems. It was observed an increase of Kp and Kr when the protein were hydrolyzed (from SP to H1),
however, when degree of hydrolysis progresses to H2 the parameters decreased again. In other hand, considerable differences were not
found between these two PS studied concerning the Kp to air-water interface at these conditions. In spite of the different surface active
nature of the PS, the proteins seem to control the behavior of the protein-PS interactions. However, when Kr of mixed systems was
analyzed, the degree of hydrolysis and PS nature started to have a huge importance. Hence, it could be observed synergic or antagonic

On Doppler tracking in cosmological spacetimes
We give a rigorous derivation of the general-relativistic formula for the
two-way Doppler tracking of a spacecraft in Friedmann-Lemaitre-Robertson-Walker
and in McVittie spacetimes. The leading order corrections of the so-determined
acceleration to the Newtonian acceleration are due to special-relativistic
effects and cosmological expansion. The latter, although linear in the Hubble
constant, is negligible in typical applications within the Solar System.Comment: 10 pages, 1 figure. Journal versio
Cosmology in the Solar System: Pioneer effect is not cosmological
Does the Solar System and, more generally, a gravitationally bound system
follow the cosmic expansion law ? Is there a cosmological influence on the
dynamics or optics in such systems ? The general relativity theory provides an
unique and unambiguous answer, as a solution of Einstein equations with a local
source in addition to the cosmic fluid, and obeying the correct (cosmological)
limiting conditions. This solution has no analytic expression. A Taylor
development of its metric allows a complete treatment of dynamics and optics in
gravitationally bound systems, up to the size of galaxy clusters, taking into
account both local and cosmological effects. In the solar System, this provides
an estimation of the (non zero) cosmological influence on the Pioneer probe: it
fails to account for the " Pioneer effect " by about 10 orders of magnitude. We
criticize contradictory claims on this topic
The Chemical Enrichment History of the Small Magellanic Cloud and Its Gradients
We present stellar metallicities derived from Ca II triplet spectroscopy in
over 350 red giant branch stars in 13 fields distributed in different positions
in the SMC, ranging from 1\arcdeg\@ to 4\arcdeg\@ from its center.
In the innermost fields the average metallicity is [Fe/H] . This value
decreases when we move away towards outermost regions. This is the first
detection of a metallicity gradient in this galaxy. We show that the
metallicity gradient is related to an age gradient, in the sense that more
metal-rich stars, which are also younger, are concentrated in the central

Revealing the tidal scars of the Small Magellanic Cloud
Due to their close proximity, the Large and Small Magellanic Clouds (SMC/LMC)
provide natural laboratories for understanding how galaxies form and evolve.
With the goal of determining the structure and dynamical state of the SMC, we
present new spectroscopic data for 3000 SMC red giant branch stars
observed using the AAOmega spectrograph at the Anglo-Australian Telescope. We
complement our data with further spectroscopic measurements from previous
studies that used the same instrumental configuration and proper motions from
the \textit{Gaia} Data Release 2 catalogue. Analysing the photometric and
stellar kinematic data, we find that the SMC centre of mass presents a
conspicuous offset from the velocity centre of its associated \mbox{H\,{\sc
i}} gas, suggesting that the SMC gas is likely to be far from dynamical
equilibrium. Furthermore, we find evidence that the SMC is currently undergoing
tidal disruption by the LMC within 2\,kpc of the centre of the SMC, and
possibly all the way in to the very core. This is evidenced by a net outward
motion of stars from the SMC centre along the direction towards the LMC and
apparent tangential anisotropy at all radii. The latter is expected if the SMC
is undergoing significiant tidal stripping, as we demonstrate using a suite of
-body simulations of the SMC/LMC system disrupting around the Milky Way.
These results suggest that dynamical models for the SMC that assume a steady
